Job description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform equipment inspections, tests, calibrations and servicing (within capabilities on the work site)
  • Conduct cleaning, disassembly and inspection, repairing and replacing all worn, damaged or faulty components (in accordance with highest level of training which has been successfully completed) and record all results in accordance with the manufacturer and United Safety's procedures.
  • Appropriately segregate all faulty equipment; identifying non-conforming products of equipment; identifying the limitations of the equipment and abuse that it has sustained by an improper application and completion of I/A reports for all equipment that cannot be serviced on the worksite.
  • Maintain initial receiving/daily/weekly inventories as required
  • Ensure all equipment serial numbers/tag numbers are documented on equipment sheets prior to release and verified upon return. Organize equipment sheets into client files for easy reference
  • Meet customer equipment needs and demands through the shop foreman/operations management on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintaining appropriate records management, including maintaining equipment distribution log (in/out disposition); maintaining equipment maintenance log and tests/calibrations; initiating incident reports for non-conforming/missing equipment, reporting incidents at the end of shift and providing equipment utilization information to the client as needed.

Requirements and Competencies:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • TWIC
  • Basic Plus
  • 2 years including a minimum of one year in shop environment and a minimum of two turnarounds
  • Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug test and background check
