Job description

Purpose of the Job:

The principal purpose of this job description is to outline the roles and responsibilities of a Quality Coordinator.Performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products.

Essentiall Functions & Duties:

  1. Perform first piece and in-process dimensional / visual inspections to verify part correctness per standard procedures
  2. Coordinate tool corrections and adjustments with Cross functional team to achieve part correctness.
  3. Quarantine and disposition parts as well as MRB tracking and disposition.
  4. Utilize precision measuring tools to assist in receiving inspection
  5. In process checks for GDI and Fitting.
  6. Incoming inspection for fittings for signoff and steel cert sign off and tracking.
  7. Perform red-rabbit verification on inspection machinery, when necessary.
  8. Compile data for scrap, Jomesa testing, MRB tracking and releasing, and End-Of-Shift Reports. (Pareto Charts)
  9. Send out daily, weekly and monthly quality reports for quality department.
  10. Participate in various quality studies and improvement initiatives.
  11. Perform and participate in audits as assigned by Quality Manager, (IATF, floor, internal, LPA, dock) and report results
  12. Train and mentor new QA inspectors as needed
  13. Train production Operators on in-process inspection methods, as needed.
  14. Plant Document Control in Plex for IATF and ECR tracking for plant.(Plant work instructions, Procedure, forms, internal and external prints)
  15. Perform all other duties as assigned
  16. Use, understanding, and execution of LEAP/5S, HSE standards.
