Familiarity with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and sometimes relevant certifications like Certified Dispatcher are important technical qualifications. Excellent communication, decision-making, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are crucial soft skills for this role. Mastery of these skills ensures efficient coordination of resources, timely deliveries, and effective team management in a dynamic environment.

A Dispatching Manager oversees the scheduling, coordination, and management of dispatch operations within a company, often in industries like transportation, logistics, or emergency services. Their primary role is to ensure that vehicles, staff, or resources are allocated efficiently and operations run smoothly. They supervise dispatchers, handle customer or client communication, address any operational issues, and work to meet delivery or service timelines. Additionally, Dispatching Managers may analyze performance metrics and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and service quality.

CBI Security Services is seeking a Security Dispatcher to serve as the operational hub of our field operations. Dispatch is responsible for ensuring that every shift is covered, every call is answered, and every issue is addressed in real time. • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • High level of accountability and ownership

  • A problem-solving mindset, not a task-following mindset

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Monitoring and managing daily shift coverage across all active sites
  • Coordinating call-offs, replacements, and last-minute scheduling changes
  • Answering and managing incoming calls from officers, clients, and management
  • Communicating clearly and professionally across multiple channels (phone, text, software systems)

  • Prioritizing multiple issues at once and making real-time decisions
  • Supporting field officers and ensuring they have the information needed to perform their duties
  • Escalating issues appropriately when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. (bilingual skills are a plus)
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with computers, apps, and dispatch systems.
  • Must be able to type on average 45+ wpm.
  • Physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including walking up/downstairs and maintaining full alertness throughout the shift.

  • Ability to meet grooming and professional appearance standards.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 10 lbs. as part of regular duties.
