Job Overview:
K2 has a position open at our corporate office in Crown Point, IN for a Dispatcher who will be responsible for the overall coordination of personnel, equipment and supplies needed to service multiple internal and external customer requests. Typical duties will include:
  • Communication skills: on the phone, emails and in person
  • Receiving calls from customers and scheduling work accordingly has experience in computer input during calls
  • Organizational skills for multiple jobs
  • Problem solver and can demonstrate good judgment
  • Good phone etiquette and excellent listening skills
  • Computer proficiency including typing, MS Outlook, Excel and Word, Coordinating with management on the availability of personnel, equipment and supplies
  • Daily scheduling of personnel
  • Daily scheduling of equipment
  • Inspect returning vehicles for cleanliness, damage, fuel level, etc.
  • Manage DOT related documents such as mileage logs, vehicle inspection reports, etc.
  • Manage operations related documents such as dispatch sheets, material requisitions, daily job reports, etc.
  • Observe all safety policies and regulations including use of personal protective equipment
  • Be available for work as needed with on call expectations

Requirements and Education:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiar with the materials, equipment and supplies used in industrial cleaning
  • Familiar with dispatch and warehouse operations, procedures, equipment and terminology
  • Proper phone and email etiquette
  • Ability to work industry seasonal outages such as holidays, weekends and off shift hours

Preferred Requirements and Education:
  • Prefer 1 year of industrial related experience or warehouse work
  • Previous Dispatching experience a plus
