Dispatch Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming customer calls for service with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Proactively call customers to schedule or reschedule service appointments.
  • Efficiently organize and manage calls on the dispatch board, ensuring timely responses and accurate scheduling.
  • Dispatch service technicians to customer locations, considering their skills, availability, and proximity to the job site.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and promptly address any customer concerns or issues.
  • Perform general office tasks as needed, including data entry, filing, and answering emails.
  • Effectively track paused jobs and reschedule them in a timely manner.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule with other exempt staff members.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of dispatching experience in a service industry environment within the last 5 years.
  • General knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems a must.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using computers and dispatching software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
