Job description

We Are Growing Our Sales Team!

Join Builders FirstSource as a Sales Trainee and develop the industry knowledge and sales experience needed to advance into an Outside Sales Representative role.

Through our training program, you’ll gain hands-on experience across BFS operations and sales while learning our products, customers, processes, and digital tools.

What You’ll Do
  • Train in yard operations, production, dispatch/delivery, inside sales, and outside sales.
  • Accompany Outside Sales Reps on customer calls and learn effective sales and relationship-building techniques.
  • Assist with customer orders, takeoffs, sales calls, and other inside/outside sales activities.
  • Learn and promote BFS digital tools, including myBLDR.com, to help customers do business more efficiently.
  • Gain experience using CRM and digital sales tools to manage customer activity and opportunities.
  • Build knowledge of building materials, construction, BFS products, and customer needs.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field plus 0–2 years related industry operations/sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
