Job description

SUPERVISOR/DISPATCH

SALARY: $30.47/HR


QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have knowledge of a vocational, administrative, or technical field typically obtained through six months to one year of advanced study or training beyond high school, or an equivalent combination of education and training. A minimum of three to five years of related experience is required, including supervisory experience involving employee performance, work objectives, and performance evaluations.


MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage daily transit operations by dispatching drivers, assigning bus routes, and serving as a liaison with departments including Maintenance and Customer Service.
  • Record payroll, manage time off and overtime schedules, and complete required documentation.
  • Coordinate service interruptions by recording route changes, assigning substitute drivers, rerouting busses as needed, monitoring traffic control plans, attending pre-construction meetings, implementing detours and tracking special events.
  • Assist with operational issues by dispatching repair personnel or other supervisors and helping operators troubleshoot non-safety-related service disruptions.
