JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the daily operation of plants, including but not limited to operations, maintenance, production, inventory control, safety, environmental compliance and supervision of plant employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manages and oversees the operations of multiple plants, mixer drivers.
  • Ensure that all products produced meet or exceed customers' expectations regarding quality and service.
  • Ensure that plants have adequate inventories in order to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure that a safe workplace is maintained by enforcing company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Schedule material deliveries according to information provided by Dispatch office (according to customer needs).
  • Ensure deliveries are made promptly, safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure that plant operations remain in compliance with all applicable environmental standards.
  • Maintain plant facility in excellent condition, mechanically and esthetically.
  • Perform daily equipment and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions Ensure that employees are working efficiently and consistently with company policies and guidelines.
  • Leads safety conversation meetings; daily/weekly/monthly.
  • Safely and properly operate ready mix plant.

  • Troubleshoot and create solutions for material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.
  • Monitor and discuss production problems with Operations Manager
  • Accurately complete company reports, and other documentation as needed.
  • Maintain good working relationships with co-workers and outside agencies' personnel.
  • Manage corporately approved disciplinary procedures pertaining to all personnel assigned to the plant.
  • Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience/education/Skill
  • Mixer driving and Batching experience preferred
  • Minimum Class B CDL with air brakes.
  • Ability to read, write and figure mathematical calculations.
  • Excellent verbal, written and comprehension communication skills.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Good leadership abilities.
  • Willingness to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skill and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and perform all duties of concrete operations as needed.
  • Ability to work near, around or on light or heavy equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 100lbs. of weight frequently.
  • Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and ladders
  • Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
  • Ability tolerate working in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions
  • Ability to repeatedly reach, squat and tolerate prolonged standing/walking / sitting
  • Ability to repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces
