Operations Manager — Gutter Installation & ProductionSt. Louis Metro Area | $70,000–$80,000 Salary | Leadership Role
The Brothers That Just Do Gutters is hiring an Operations Manager to own our production schedule, installation teams, customer communication, and day-to-day field operations.
This is a key leadership role for someone who can keep crews moving, solve problems quickly, communicate clearly with customers, and make sure jobs are completed efficiently, profitably, and professionally.
We are looking for a strong operator — someone with grit, urgency, ownership, and the ability to lead installers while also protecting the customer experience.
This is not a clock-in, clock-out 9-to-5 position. Our base office hours are generally 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, but this is a salaried leadership role that requires engagement with company communication and operational needs even when you are not physically at the office.
Compensation
  • $60,000–$80,000 annual salary, based on experience
  • Full-time leadership position
  • Growth opportunity with a performance-based company
What You’ll Own

  • Schedule jobs, assign crews, and dispatch installers efficiently
  • Reschedule jobs as needed due to weather, material delays, crew availability, or customer needs
  • Maintain clear visibility into upcoming work and production capacity
  • Keep 2–3 weeks of special-order material planned around upcoming jobs
  • Stage materials for production as needed
  • Drive production goals and help the company hit weekly and monthly targets
  • Identify bottlenecks and solve problems before they slow down production
Crew Leadership
  • Hire, train, lead, and hold installers accountable
  • Manage installation teams on a daily basis
  • Set clear expectations for quality, communication, timeliness, and professionalism
  • Build strong relationships with installers while maintaining standards
  • Handle performance issues directly and professionally
  • Support a culture of accountability, grit, teamwork, and pride in the work
Customer Communication
  • Handle customer communication related to scheduling, job details, questions, payments, and concerns
  • Represent the company professionally on the phone and in written communication
  • Send scheduling packets after jobs are scheduled
  • Request contracts, payments, color selections, and lead information as needed
  • Handle customer complaints with good judgment, urgency, and professionalism
  • Keep customers informed so they feel confident and taken care of throughout the process
Operations, Materials & Fleet
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
  • Manage warehouse stock through weekly and as-needed supplier orders
  • Maintain inventory awareness and prevent avoidable material shortages
  • Assist with fleet management and vehicle readiness
  • Support efficient dispatching of crews and work orders
  • Process credit card payments as needed
  • Type proposals and job scopes on occasion
  • Maintain accurate customer and job information in the CRM
  • Help improve systems as the company grows
Internal Communication
  • Stay actively engaged with company communication, even when not at the office
  • Communicate clearly with ownership, sales, office staff, and installation teams
  • Make sure important job details are passed from sales to production to crews
  • Follow up on phone messages, customer needs, and operational issues
  • Help create a smooth handoff from sold job to completed installation

Must-haves:
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to manage installers, crews, schedules, and customers
  • Strong communication skills by phone, text, email, and in person

  • Job scheduling experience
  • Inventory or warehouse management experience
