The Dispatch & Operations Coordinator supports daily transportation and final-mile delivery operations by assisting with dispatch activities, driver communication, customer service follow-up, and operational problem-solving. This role works closely with drivers, customers, warehouse personnel, and company leadership to help ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

The ideal candidate has experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch support, or final-mile delivery operations and is looking for an opportunity to grow within a fast-paced and expanding organization.

Position Overview

The Dispatch & Operations Coordinator supports daily transportation and final-mile delivery operations by assisting with dispatch activities, driver communication, customer service follow-up, and operational problem-solving.

This role works closely with drivers, customers, warehouse personnel, and company leadership to help ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, technology-focused, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch & Transportation Support

  • Assist with daily dispatch operations and route execution
  • Communicate with drivers regarding deliveries, service updates, and operational issues
  • Monitor route progress and delivery performance throughout the day
  • Assist with service recovery and issue resolution
  • Support driver onboarding and operational compliance initiatives
  • Help maintain efficient utilization of drivers and resources

Customer Service & Account Support

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding delivery status and service requests
  • Provide timely communication regarding delays, exceptions, and delivery updates
  • Escalate customer concerns appropriately and assist with resolution
  • Maintain positive customer relationships through professional communication
  • Support key accounts and high-priority deliveries as needed

Technology & Systems

  • Utilize dispatch, routing, and transportation management software
  • Monitor shipment visibility and delivery tracking systems
  • Maintain accurate operational records and reporting
  • Support continuous improvement through technology and process optimization
  • Assist with data entry, shipment tracking, and operational documentation

Operations Coordination

  • Coordinate with warehouse and overnight operations teams
  • Support freight readiness and operational planning
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and communicate solutions
  • Assist leadership with special projects and operational initiatives
  • Help ensure operational consistency and accountability across the organization

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch support, customer service, or final-mile delivery operations
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with computers and business software
  • Reliable attendance and professional work ethic

Preferred

  • Experience with Xcelerator software
  • Experience with dispatch, routing, or transportation management systems
  • Experience in final-mile delivery, courier, transportation, or logistics operations
  • Customer service experience in a logistics environment
  • Experience supporting drivers or transportation teams
