Job description

Position Overview
  • Department: Security  
  • Schedule: Rotating (PRN)  
  • Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's East

What You Will Do

Monitor and communicate need for security services throughout assigned area(s).

  • Manage and respond to calls and/or alarms and initiates immediate response.
  • Coordinate and/or dispatch staff in response to requests for service. Retrieve recorded documentation as required.
  • Monitor the activities of persons on the premises by way of surveillance systems and communications.
  • Initiate communication with team leader/manager when additional staffing support is necessary and assist with resolution of those issues.
  • May be responsible and accountable for hiring, training, supervision and performance appraisals of security shift employees.
What You Will Need

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
