Overview

TheDirector Disneyland Resort Intelligenceis a strategic leader responsible for advancing consumer-centric, decision-making across the Disneyland Resort. Sitting within the Disney Experience Intelligence organization, this leader partners with cross-functional teams - including Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Technology - to translate consumer behaviors, attitudes, and experiences into actionable intelligence that informs and shapes business strategy.

Reporting to the Vice President, Segment Intelligence, the Director will lead a team responsible for developing, executing, synthesizing, and leveraging research, analytics, and other sources of insight to inform and inspire partners. In a rapidly changing consumer and market environment,theemphasis is onprovidingactionableinsights- clear, objective, strategic, holistic,timely, and relevant. The successful candidate will have proven success in shaping anddelivering ona consumer centric intelligence vision, developing a roadmap, and leading a team through research execution to business application. The director will be an inspiring and influential leader of people, projects, and partnerships. The director will be a big thinker, collaborator, and innovator who can effectively drive results in a matrix organization, and who can deliver clarity and direction from an often ambiguous and complex consumer space. Key Responsibilities

Intelligence Generation & Data Integration

  • Oversee the development and execution oftracking,foundational and ad hoc research studies, including market trackers, product/experience development, and business performance diagnostics.

  • Lead the integration of consumer insight, sales measurement, and analytics into a unified, decision-ready view of the Disneyland Resort guest and market.

  • Utilize innovative research and intelligence methodologies-quantitative, qualitative, behavioral and attitudinal analytics-to identify demand drivers, audience growth opportunities, and guest experience optimizations.

  • Evaluate and pilot emerging market research technologies - including AI-enabled platforms, agentic data analyst tools, and Disney's internal research applications - in partnership with Technology and Disney Experience Intelligence and Innovation.

  • Purchase funnel exploration

  • Digital design experience and optimization

Business Impact & Storytelling

  • Serve as a trusted intelligence advisor to Disneyland Resort senior leadership, transforming complex research and analytics into clear, decision-grade narratives that drive commercial, operational, and technology strategies.

  • Anticipate emerging consumer, competitive, and cultural shifts and proactively brief leadership on implications and recommended actions.

  • Guide cross-functional initiatives by integrating consumer intelligence into pricing strategy, marketing campaign design, experience investments, and long-range planning.

  • Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and cross functional teams to support research and analytics needs.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Grow, lead, and mentor a high-performing, future-ready intelligence team spanning research design, execution, analysis, and storytelling disciplines.

  • Champion a culture of innovation, experimentation, automation, and continuous improvement - including AI-enabled research workflows, and executive storytelling.

  • Build talent pipelines and development paths that strengthen capabilities in research design, statistical analysis, and AI fluency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, statistics, economics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

  • 10+ years of experience in consumer insights, analytics, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Provenexpertisein quantitative and qualitative research, data integration, and strategic intelligence development.

  • Strong ability to lead multiple time sensitive projects concurrentlywith urgency

  • Demonstrated creative and analytical thinking - from how to frame a challenge to delivering a solution

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, changing environment while effectively managing multiple projects and relationships with conflicting timelines and priorities

  • Strong communicationand presentation skills

  • Experience in the entertainment, hospitality, or theme park industry is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated experience applyingAI and GenAI tools to market research workflows, including survey generation and validation, automated open-end coding, theme, persona development, executive summary drafting, and synthesis of historical research

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

  • Strategic thinker with a passion for consumer-centric innovation.

  • Collaborative leader who thrives in dynamic, cross-functional environments.

  • Skilled storyteller who can translate data into actionable business insights.

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $185,500.00-$248,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
