About the Role:

TheVice President, Data GovernanceandStrategyis a senior executive leader responsible for defining and advancing Disney's data strategy within Enterprise Technology & Data.

Reporting to the VP, Technology Strategy, this role will position data as a trusted enterprise asset by driving alignment across business units, improving data quality and transparency, and building AI-ready foundations that support smarter decision-making, operational excellence, and next-generation customer experiences.

WhatYou'llDo

Define and lead enterprise data strategy

  • Establish a clear, scalable data strategy aligned to business growth and innovation priorities

  • Drive consistency in data definitions, standards, and governance practices across the company

Build and operationalize governance at scale

  • Define data ownership, stewardship models, and accountability frameworks

  • Implement standards for data quality, transparency, and auditability

Enable AI and advanced analytics

  • Ensure data is AI-ready-accurate, traceable, governed, and responsibly sourced

  • Partnersacross teams to support machine learning, generative AI, and advanced analytics use cases

Strengthenrisk and compliance frameworks

  • Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Security toestablishgovernance for data usage, consent, and ethical AI

  • Identifyand mitigate risks related to data sharing, automation, and emerging technologies

Drive enterprise adoption and cultural change

  • Champion data literacy, stewardship, and accountability across the organization

  • Lead change initiatives to position data as a core enterprise capability

Lead and scale a high-impact team

  • Build and developa strong teamaligned to enterprise priorities

  • Inspire collaboration and connect teams to broader business outcomes

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience, including significant leadership experience

  • Proven experience leadingenterprise data governance and strategyat scale

  • Track recordof drivingcross-functional alignmentacross business and technical stakeholders

  • Strong leadership capability with experience leadingorganizational change and transformation

  • Demonstrated ability to influence at theexecutive level

  • Deep understanding ofdata governance frameworks, data quality, and data standardization

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications

  • Experience withDataGovernance,AI, advancedanalyticsand emerging data technologies

  • Proven ability tobuild and scale high-performing data teams

  • Recognized thought leadership in data,governanceandanalytics

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology,Engineering, Analyticsor a related field, or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA or Orlando, FL is $228,700 - $36,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
