Job Summary:

The Digital Media Center (DMC) is a highly collaborative team that works together to solve problems and deliver the best quality content in a high-volume fast turnaround environment. As a Media Operations and Data Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the organization, coordination, quality assurance, and oversight of digital media assets within the Media Asset Management (MAM- Brahma) ecosystem. This role is responsible for conformance to metadata standards, content annotation, asset audits, permissions management, and maintaining the integrity and accessibility of digital media collections. The projects performed under this position are deadline driven, often with short turnaround windows. The Media Operations Data Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for asset requests, providing real time support and troubleshooting media-related issues, and coordinating with internal and external partners to ensure timely resolution. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, customer-focused, curious, and passionate about emerging technologies that support media operations, metadata management, and machine learning initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee data operations by running periodic checks/audits against the standard, flagging mislabeled, duplicate or incomplete records, correcting mis-tagged records as necessary.

  • Identify and classify assets for retention/deletion on a documented, pre-approved schedule according to policy, escalating infrastructure risks as necessary.

  • Provision new users into the system and walk them through initial setup. Run basic training sessions and maintain training materials/documentation.

  • Manage delivery destinations and delivery templates.

  • Offboard/revoke user access to asset management system as required.

  • Run reports and audits of who has access to what, flagging anomalies and risks.

  • Oversee asset management system by providing first-line intake and routing of support/feature requests for asset management system, resolving documented issues and flagging new issues to appropriate owner as necessary.

  • Gather and prepare content, documents and other materials as necessary to test new workflows or resolve existing issues.

  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries ensuring team has necessary information to fulfill work orders accurately, including technical details of marketing shoots, requirements for special events or showings, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of creative services experience, with knowledge of media/video formats or media applications preferred.

  • Experience or interest in high-volume, large-scale file management, including workflow orchestration, file movement, and permissions management.

  • Technology curiosity is required, as this role will support AI applications and involve exposure to AI-driven asset generation or metadata enrichment tools.

  • Detail oriented with the ability to accurately work well under pressure, manage multiple competing deadlines, and maintain professionalism.

  • Must have strong communication, relationship building and customer service skills.

  • Strong organizational and follow-thru skills, keeping manager informed on completed tasks and status of current tasks at hand.

  • Self-starter, communicative, reliable, and positive demeanor.

  • Ability to adapt to continual changes in processes, priorities, tasks and workloads.

  • Ability to be proactive, resourceful, and flexible.

  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.

  • Knowledge of production/postproduction workflows within an Entertainment Company.

  • Proficiency with Mac/PC computers and file systems.

  • Essential skills with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, and Power Point).

  • Candidate must live within commuting distance of the Burbank office and be available to work on site four days per week.

  • This role requires availability to work rotating shifts, including 9:30 AM-6:00 PM, 10:30 AM-7:00 PM, and 3:00 PM-11:00 PM, with some weekend availability required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity of Disney Television content and an appreciation for the brand is a plus.

Required Education:

  • Associate's degree/Certificate.

Preferred Education:

  • College degree preferred.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $54,000 to $72,300 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
