Position Overview

We are seeking a Discovery Clerk to join our Employment Litigation Team. This position plays a key role in supporting attorneys throughout the discovery process, ensuring compliance with discovery deadlines, and assisting with case preparation.


This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with discovery experience, as well as litigation support professionals looking to further their careers in employment law.


Responsibilities
  • Assist with propounding and responding to written discovery in compliance with the California Code of Civil Procedure. 
  • Draft discovery responses, correspondence, and other litigation-related documents under attorney supervision. 
  • Track discovery deadlines and ensure timely completion of all discovery obligations. 
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing trial exhibits and trial binders. 
  • Communicate with clients to obtain information and documentation necessary for discovery responses. 
  • Coordinate with opposing counsel regarding discovery requests, responses, and deadlines. 
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files using Filevine or similar case management software. 
  • Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys as needed. 
Requirements:
  • 1–3 years of experience in discovery, litigation support, or a legal administrative role preferred
  • Employment law experience is preferred; however, candidates with experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, civil litigation, or other litigation practice areas are encouraged to apply
  • Experience assisting with written discovery, including drafting, organizing, and responding to discovery requests
  • Working knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure relating to discovery is strongly preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Filevine or other case management software is a plus
  • This is a fully onsite position. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available

Hourly Range: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
