A Discovery Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing the process of gathering, organizing, and managing information and evidence during the discovery phase of legal cases or investigations. They often coordinate between legal teams, clients, and technology vendors to ensure that all relevant documents and data are identified, preserved, and produced efficiently and in compliance with legal requirements. Discovery Managers play a critical role in managing electronic discovery (e-discovery) and ensuring that the discovery process runs smoothly, cost-effectively, and within set deadlines.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a discovery manager?

To thrive as a Discovery Manager, you need expertise in e-discovery processes, legal procedures, and project management, often supported by a background in law or information management.
