Now Hiring: Part-Time Infant Assistant Teacher – Join a Top-Rated Early Childhood Program!

Lake Area Discovery Center is seeking a Part-Time Preschool Assistant Teacher to support the infant classroom at Valley of Peace's Discovery Center location in Golden Valley. This role works closely with the Lead Teacher and classroom team to provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for infants 6 weeks-15 months old.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Lead Teacher in an infant classroom
  • Assist with daily activities and infant care
  • Help create a positive, nurturing environment for young children
  • Supervise and engage children during play, learning, and care
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom
  • Communicate with teaching staff and support classroom planning
  • Follow Minnesota DHS licensing guidelines

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children in childcare or early education preferred
  • Coursework or training in Early Childhood Education or related field is helpful
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and families
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • $18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on education and experience
  • Year-round position (12 months)
  • 32 hours Paid Time Off (PTO)
