Job description

We are seeking a patient focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team-oriented Hospitalist department at our IU West Hospital in Avon, IN. IU West Hospital in Avon, IN offers a strong practice environment for a night Hospitalist within a well-established community hospital. This role focuses on admissions, consults, and cross-cover, providing exposure to a broad range of patient's acuity and fostering clinical autonomy overnight.
Job Description:

  • Full Time, Night Shift
  • 3-12-hour shifts; 4p-4a, every third weekend
    • Friday and Saturday, two major and minor holidays each year that will rotate
  • 100% Inpatient
  • No Call Schedule
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform 4-6 admissions per night from the IU West Emergency Department.
  • Cross-cover on approximately 50-70 hospitalized patients each night
Qualifications:
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified
  • ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certifications required.
  • 1-2 years' experience
  • Ideally inpatient experience as an NP/PA; If NP, would prefer critical care nursing experience
  • New Grads considered with inpatient experience
