Job description

Journeyman Electrician

MineARC Systems is a global leader in controlled environments and safety technologies for the underground mining, tunneling, chemical processing, disaster relief and biotechnology industries.

We are currently looking for a passionate Journeyman Electrician to expand our team. This is an exciting and rewarding position will involve ownership of larger projects from the planning phase, construction and commissioning at customer sites.

As a lead member of the team you will work closely with Production and Engineering department to assist in the design and installation of existing and prototype products. In addition, you responsible for directing assigned workshop team members in order to build and streamline workshop processes.

To be a success, You will......

  • Assist with the fit out of all manufactured electrical products (240-120VAC and 48-12VDC).
  • Test and sign off on all electrical equipment (UPS systems, inverters, controllers).
  • Make up cables and wiring for Production Technicians to install.
  • Liaise with CSA to ensure compliance with CSA 22.1 Electrical Standards.
  • Electrical inspection and maintenance of facility and production tools.
  • Ensure a high standard of work is maintained and quality control of products.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and document control.
  • Adhere to safety standard and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Acquire and maintain all necessary certifications to operate all machinery and equipment used at the MineARC® facility.
  • Ensure housekeeping of MineARC® facilities and other duties as assigned.

What we require from you......

  • Active Journeyman Electrical License.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs multiple times through a shift.
  • Experience in a manufacturing company.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage a large number of tasks simultaneously.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure.

  • Worked previously at a ISO9001:2015 certified company.
  • OSHA 10 hour training.
  • MSHA 40 hour training.
