Core Hours: 6:00a - 3:00p
Status: Nonexempt
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr

SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring that all inbound products are received, outbound orders are selected, and products are stored correctly throughout the warehouse. You will be required to uphold the integrity of our food and warehouse safety procedures at all times, and support and train our volunteers whenever necessary.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of Feeding Tampa Bay
  • Receive inbound products and ensure that they are stored correctly.
  • Select outbound orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Store products throughout the warehouse, ensuring that they are easily accessible.
  • Follow all food and warehouse safety procedures, including labeling, dating, and rotation of products
  • Support and train volunteers, ensuring they are aware of all procedures and able to carry out their duties
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Handle any issues that may arise, escalating to the Warehouse Manager when necessary
  • Willing to actively participate in mission-driven programs, such as food distribution initiatives and disaster relief operations as needed.
  • This position is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Excel working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and demonstrate the ability to embrace the FTB's commitment to treat all people with equity and respect in pursuit of our mission to feed people in need and mobilize our community to eliminate hunger
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2 years of warehouse experience/training.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Certified to utilize forklifts, electric pallet jacks, Crown reach lift, and other warehouse equipment
  • Food safety certification is required; or, the willingness to complete within 30-days of employment.
  • Lift, lower, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds continuously during shift.
  • Able to bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit, walk, and turn/pivot throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays when required
  • All internal candidates must be in good standing with no corrective actions within the last 90 days.
  • Willing to actively participate in mission-driven programs, such as food distribution initiatives and disaster relief operations as needed.

Salary Description
