WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) ...
This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment, across several sites throughout Middletown, Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will have proven success providing effective leadership, quality customer service and sound judgement, escalating issues as required and effectively prioritizing projects.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintains and monitors all safety systems including alarms and badges including database for staff who access it.
  • Design, coordinate, conduct and report on Disaster Drills for each site including the coordination of fire drills.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety Signage
  • Assist and liaison as needed, with contractors and vendors for special projects.
  • Review and update policies on Life Safety, Environmental and Emergency Preparedness with QI for Joint Commission review.
  • Control keys to the buildings and the medication cabinets.
  • Participate and maintain minutes of in Incident Command Response team.
  • Follow up and assist in work request ticket resolution if necessary.
  • Maintain vehicle insurance and registration.
  • Organize and track office moves.
  • Assist, consult, and ensure execution of Facility Master Plans
  • Keep minutes and track action items for the Facilities and Safety meetings.
  • Work with CFAO to review annually Umbrella and General Commercial insurance/ risk program.

Requirements
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU...
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with facilities, safety, and security.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • High degree of interpersonal skills to effectively interact with personnel at all levels.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adaptable to change.
  • Ability to function with minimal supervision and oversight.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry as much as 50 pounds.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to travel between locations within Middletown, RI.
