Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Calgary or Edmonton, AB, working on a project with several properties across Alberta and Northern Communities.

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installation, maintaining, troubleshooting and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities.

The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required as well as be able to travel outside Alberta, to the Northern Territories. Tools, uniforms, PPE, work cellphone, and a company vehicle will be provided for work duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficiencies

  • Strong background in construction.

  • Ensure all installations comply with electrical codes and safety standards.

  • Install electrical wiring, conduit, cable trays, panels, transformers, motors, and electrical equipment.

  • Assist with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects

  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meets the requirements of the appropriate codes

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Certified Electrician (Red Seal) with a minimum of 2 years' experience

  • Strong commercial and residential experience

  • Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to read drawings and schematics

  • Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
