FORTS Logistics Technician FORTS Logistics is a leader in Emergency Logistics, providing uncompromising quality, responsiveness, and reliability. Role Summary/Purpose FORTS Logistics is in search of an experienced full-time Technician to run and oversee inventory, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing generator, electrical and mechanical equipment and systems as well as response operations throughout the FORTS Logistics company. The Technician will ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely, adhering to all company and regulatory standards. Primary work will be performed in Coconut Creek, Florida. This position will be pivotal in our continued growth and ability to meet ever-expanding requirements in disaster logistics and response. Essential Responsibilities: • Perform cleaning, maintenance and repairs of generator, electrical and mechanical equipment • Be trained and proficient in deploying and operating all generator, electrical and mechanical equipment • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with all generators, electrical and mechanical equipment, using diagnostic tools and techniques • Repair or replace faulty components and systems • Install and configure new equipment and systems as required • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols • Provide technical support and training to staff as needed • Stay updated with the latest industry developments and technologies • Perform other duties as necessary Highly Recommended Qualities and Skills: • Certification in relevant technical fields (e.g., Electrical, Generators, HVAC, Automotive, etc.) • 4 years of experience with all repairing, and maintaining generators, electrical and/or mechanical equipment • Excellent customer service and communication skills • Good organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail • Ability to conduct presentations and training for customers • Responsible, self-managed, strong work ethics and excellent character • Collaborate well with other team members • Timely and punctual in reporting to work and completing assignments Requirements: • High School Diploma • U.S. Citizen or Resident • Valid Florida Driver’s License and clean driving record to meet insurance requirements • Ability to travel for delivering new products, up to 7 days at a time, including weekends • Ability to travel with short notice for disaster response, up to 30 days at a time • Ability to operate forklifts of different sizes and capacities, both indoor and outdoor • Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, push, and pull etc. • Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods • Highly proficient in speaking and reading English • Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, snow etc • Proven experience as a technician or in a similar role • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and generators • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Employment Type Full Time Benefits Offered Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, etc. Salary TBA The salary expectation for this position will be based on the applicant's knowledge and experience.
