Job description

Dry Force is hiring a Mold Technician for a full-time position in Austin, Texas.

As a Mold Technician, you will be responsible for performing mold remediation services in residential and commercial properties. This includes setting up containment, removing affected materials, and ensuring all work is completed safely and according to industry standards. Mold Technicians are often working directly with customers during stressful situations, so strong professionalism and customer service are essential.


Responsibilities:
  • Perform mold remediation and mitigation services in homes and commercial buildings

  • Set up containment barriers and negative air systems to prevent cross-contamination

  • Remove and dispose of mold-affected materials following EPA and company guidelines

  • Clean, treat, and sanitize impacted areas using approved antimicrobial solutions

  • Operate air movers, dehumidifiers, and HEPA filtration equipment

  • Conduct post-remediation cleanup and prepare areas for restoration work

  • Follow OSHA safety requirements and company protocols at all times

  • Document job progress through photos, notes, and daily updates using a phone or tablet

  • Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members

  • Assist with emergency response projects as needed (water restoration support)

  • Maintain compliance with company safety standards and ensure all field documentation is completed accurately and on time

  • Demonstrated knowledge of mold remediation regulations and compliance standards, including safety and environmental guidelines


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and perform physically demanding work

  • 1+ year of mold remediation or restoration experience preferred

  • Knowledge of containment procedures, PPE, and HEPA equipment

  • Mold Remediation Worker's Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Must be able to work overtime as needed and occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts
