With a focus on craftsmanship, compassion, and customer satisfaction, we provide reliable emergency response services and expert restoration solutions throughout the community.


Position Summary
As a Restoration Technician at Big Bear Restoration, you’ll support mitigation and emergency restoration projects involving water, fire, mold, and other environmental damage in both residential and commercial settings. You’ll work under the direction of the Lead Technician to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and according to industry standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing water, fire, mold, and biohazard mitigation jobs.
  • Set up drying and dehumidification equipment (e.g., air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA filters).
  • Perform demolition, cleaning, and site preparation tasks.
  • Support with containment setup and proper use of PPE.
  • Take moisture readings and document findings accurately in field apps or job logs.
  • Load and unload tools and materials, ensuring job sites and company vehicles are clean and organized.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members, supervisors, and customers.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company protocols.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency calls when scheduled.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in mitigation/restoration.
  • WRT certification required (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
  • IICRC certifications (ASD, AMRT, FSRT) are a plus.
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs, due to demanding work environments and dynamics.
  • Comfortable working in challenging environments (e.g., wet, dusty, or confined spaces).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong work ethic, team attitude, and desire to learn and grow.
