About This Role

The Support Staff/Associate Teacher supports the lead teacher in providing a safe, structured, and engaging environment for all children. This role requires maintaining professionalism and effective classroom management at all times, including during outside play and in classroom play. The associate teacher is expected to follow the lead teacher’s lesson plans daily and assist with implementing activities as planned. Flexibility is essential, as the position requires working four ten-hour days with one scheduled day off during the week. Consistency with expectations, routines, and interactions with children is a key component of this role. This is a full time all year position.


What You'll Do
  • Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
  • Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Come to work when scheduled

Requirements
  • High energy.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • An understanding of child development.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health and drug screening.
