Summary/Objective:

The Shuttle Driver position at Parking Veterans is a vital role responsible for providing safe and courteous passenger transportation services across multiple states. This role involves adhering to strict safety and traffic regulations, assisting passengers with loading and unloading, operating wheelchair lifts, and ensuring the security of wheelchairs and restraints. Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and courteous transportation under various driving conditions

  • Follow designated routes and schedules

  • Adhere to all applicable traffic regulations

  • Complete comprehensive trip documentation

  • Assist passengers during loading and unloading

  • Operate wheelchair lift to assist passengers with mobility challenges

  • Secure wheelchairs with proper restraints

  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections at the beginning and end of each shift

  • Report any defects or discrepancies promptly to maintenance

  • Fuel vehicles as needed

  • Check and replenish fluids as necessary

  • Provide information to passengers regarding schedules and trip details

  • Communicate and interact effectively with diverse individuals, which may include those with physical and/or mental disabilities

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
