Job description

Senior Claims Advocate

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Claims Advocate with expertise in both workers' compensation and liability claims to deliver exceptional claims management, strategic advocacy, and risk mitigation support to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multi-jurisdictional claims handling, including workers' compensation and liability lines such as general liability, auto, and property and demonstrate analytical skills and a client-focused mindset.

Location: Duluth GA, this is a hybrid position, with a minimum of three in-office days per week.

Claims Advocacy & Oversight
  • Manage and advocate for complex claims across both workers' compensation and liability lines from initial reporting to final resolution.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering strategic guidance to reduce claim costs and improve outcomes.
  • Partner with carriers, TPAs, and legal counsel to ensure appropriate claim handling, reserving, and settlement strategies.
  • Identify claim trends across multiple lines and propose tailored solutions to reduce loss experience.
  • Support clients in challenging denials, negotiating settlements, and intervening in escalated cases.
Client Consulting & Risk Mitigation
  • Provide consultative support on injury and incident management, return-to-work strategies, and liability exposure, and overall claim risk.
  • Prepare and present client-facing settlement and reserve recommendations aligned with exposure analysis, jurisdictional factors, and risk-management objectives.
  • Facilitate claim review meetings and prepare detailed reports that communicate claim status, trends, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with the account service team to ensure coordinated client strategy, consistent communication, and effective execution of claims initiatives.
  • Partner with client risk, safety, legal, and HR teams to implement proactive measures aimed at reducing claim frequency and severity.
Carrier, TPA & Legal Liaison
  • Interface with carriers, TPAs, and attorneys to ensure effective, timely, and client-centered claim resolution.
  • Advocate for appropriate reserving practices, equitable settlements, and consistent claims service.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation where appropriate.
Compliance & Regulatory Awareness
  • Maintain current knowledge of workers' compensation and liability laws, litigation trends, and best practices across jurisdictions.
  • Ensure clients remain compliant with regulatory requirements, including reporting obligations and safety protocols.
Data Analytics & Reporting
  • Analyze loss data across lines of coverage to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver client-facing analytics reports with strategic insights and practical recommendations.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 to 10 years of claims experience across workers' compensation and liability lines (GL, Auto, etc.), with a background in brokerage, TPA, or carrier environments.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of multi-jurisdictional laws and best practices in both workers' compensation and liability claims.
  • Client-Facing Skills: Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Analytical Ability: Skilled in data analysis, claim reviews, and trend identification.
  • Technology: Proficient in claims management systems, Excel, and reporting tools.
Preferred Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Industry designations such as AIC, ARM, CPCU, or CLCS strongly preferred.

The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
