Job description

The Apprenticeship Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the project’s operations and site leaders adhere to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) compliance requirements, including Apprenticeship Reporting and Prevailing Wages. The Apprenticeship Compliance Coordinator will provide audit information to management by researching and analyzing data, preparing reports, and enforcing corrective action where necessary.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support multiple projects for Apprenticeship and Prevailing Wage compliance requirements
  • Maintain tracking and reporting spreadsheets needed for each project
  • Ensure time is being coded correctly on Certified Payroll reports
  • Work with Analytics team to build and modify Power BI dashboards and reporting
  • Work with all subcontractors to get accurate payroll and apprenticeship records
  • Audit and review Subcontractor's payroll to ensure accuracy
  • Work with Payroll and InEight team to ensure accurate reports and coding
  • Prepare and maintain documentation to support internal audits
  • Share inaccuracies to correct leaders when auditing and reviewing payroll or apprenticeship records are not in compliance
  • Utilize systems such as Excel, PowerBI, and OneNote to track and monitor IRA Compliance.  
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported to site leaders or client as requested
  • Participate in internal management meetings, sharing updates, best practices and lessons learned when necessary
  • Maintain knowledge and stay up to date on compliance and regulatory matters
  • Assist Construction Managers with crew planning of apprentices as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience
  • Construction experience preferred
  • Previous Payroll experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the Company's zero injury principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of navigating and pulling reports in Power BI or similar data warehouse software
  • Basic problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be highly organized and able to multi-task
  • Ability to travel to jobsites as needed

Working Environment:

  • When visiting jobsites the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
  • This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
