Responsibilities of Wound Care Nurse / LPN (WCC, WOCN):
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization and the state of Missouri.
  • Complete wound treatments for residents in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate resident condition.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Coordinate with wound care providers and oversee nursing staff wound treatments.
  • Provide resident-specific education to CNAs and nurses for wound care and prevention.

Wound Care Nurse / LPN (WCC, WOCN) duties include medication administration, documentation, overseeing residents' care, and implementation of schedules for residents.

  • Some wound care experience preferred.
  • Certification preferred but not required.
  • Minimum Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
