Job description

Wastewater Engineer

Seeking a hardworking and forward-thinking, Wastewater Engineer to join our team. Working together for a sustainable future we assist clients in various industries, including water, wastewater, food and beverage, transportation, private utilities, municipal, industrial, and chemical.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, with 10+ years of civil/ sanitary experience and a concentration in Water and Wastewater treatment technologies
  • Professional Engineer's License preferred 
  • Familiarity with the basic functions in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Knowledge with wastewater treatment modeling software (GPSx/Biowin) is a plus
  • Experience in project management
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and approachability to work effectively with peers and clients
  • Close vision, and color vision ability required
  • Safely and effectively lifting, carrying, and moving objects of varying weights
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, balancing, standing, and walking for extended periods and maintaining the necessary physical dexterity and coordination
  • Working in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, and noise levels at times


Requirements:

  • Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Function in a lead engineering role for projects including completion of process and hydraulic detailed design, specifications, permit application, and design engineering reports
  • Maintain work scope for project engineering within time and budget parameters
  • Develop and complete bench/pilot treatability studies
  • Manage treatment plant construction
  • Provide onsite engineering and treatment operations support
  • Review shop drawing submittals and requests for information during equipment fabrication/construction
  • Continue to develop and utilize working knowledge of water/wastewater design practices


Physical Requirements:

  • Safely and effectively lift, carry, and move objects of varying weights.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, standing, and walking, for extended periods and maintain the necessary physical dexterity and coordination.
  • Work in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, weather, and noise levels.
