Job description

Lead Belting Technician - DIRECT HIRE POSITION! 

HIRING NOW for a Lead Conveyor Belting Technician for a Manufacturing Company in Rock Hill, SC.

Rock Quarry industry experience required - must have experience with heavy black belt industrial quarry conveyors

Summary:

This position is responsible for the installation and repair of conveyor belts and conveyor systems, including basic mechanical maintenance. This will involve work in the branch workshop and a significant proportion of time out at customer sites.

**We are only looking for candidates that have previous experience of vulcanizing and/or splicing heavy rubber conveyor belting. ** 

Work Schedule: - Up to 75% travel 

Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm (When not traveling) 

**During travel, you could work 12-14 hour days.. Will ONLY travel 2-3 days at a time!**

Pay:

$30.00-$35.00/hr , depending on level of experience.

Job Requirements:

  • Traveling to customer sites- Repairing, Installing, and/ or replacing Conveyor Belts/ Systems. 
  • Use of Rigging gear- Overhead Cranes, Winches, etc.. 
  • Ability to Cut, Splice, Volcanize, & Repair Conveyor Belts/ Systems. 
  • Lagging Belts 
  • Belt Cleaning
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, Specifications are being met, and Customer Orders are completed.
