Job description

Senior Associate, Creative Art Director

Capital One Brand Creative is looking for an experienced, high-performing Art Director with an elevated portfolio and exceptional taste to bring our brand to life. Supporting the Talent Brand creative team, this role will lead hands-on concepting, designing, and execution for integrated experiences across the candidate-to-associate journey.

You'll use your omni-channel visual design skills to support a broad range of talent marketing, recruiting, and experiential touchpoints, bridging creative strategy with flawless execution. As an individual contributor, you operate with an ownership mindset, setting the benchmark for design standards while ensuring every touchpoint is optimized for engagement and brand integrity. If you are a champion of strategic ideas and a hands-on maker with outstanding creative chops, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do:

  • Concept, design, and execute high-impact creative across digital, site, social, events, brand activations, and campaign toolkits in support of key business objectives.

  • Bridge creative strategy with design execution by leveraging evidence, audience insights, and business goals to make strategic creative choices that cut through the noise.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for brand standards, championing the brand, advocating for good taste, and driving visual consistency across all work.

  • Own design projects end-to-end from initial white-space ideas through final delivery for high-visibility campaigns with an appropriate degree of autonomy.

  • Proactively identify opportunities, develop smart solutions, and bring fresh ideas that raise the creative bar and push mindsets.

  • Stay ahead of modern design, digital, and consumer trends, letting them naturally inform and elevate your work.

  • Manage multiple deadlines simultaneously to deliver polished, high-quality, and error-free work on time, every time.

  • Collaborate closely with immediate team members and line of business partners, thoughtfully incorporating feedback and asking the right questions to gain clarity when needed.

Who you are:

You want to be an EVIDENCE-BASED MARKETER.

  • Your curiosity is endless. There's always something else to learn.

  • You're flexible and not afraid of change-in fact you welcome the challenge.

  • You share your point of view, but seek out what might be missing and listen.

  • You have big ideas and know the best ones are driven by proof, persistence and patience.

  • You're a storyteller. You simplify the complex and compel your audience to act.

  • You know how to enjoy yourself. While fun isn't mandatory, it certainly seems to follow you.

  • You care-about the work, your team and the customers you serve.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience

  • At least 2 years of experience working across multiple creative mediums

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at an agency or large in-house creative team

  • Experience working with a Fortune 100 brand

  • 5+ years of experience working across multiple creative mediums

  • Creative portfolio that includes a range of in-market work
