Job description

  • The Health Services Director in Training (HSDiT) Program is designed for motivated licensed nurses who are looking to grow into a Health Services Director leadership role with Oakmont.
  • Individuals in the program are trained by department heads at the community level and gain a comprehensive understanding of how to manage a team as a Health Services Director.
  • Once they have completed department training, they are placed at a community and work under a current Health Services Director to gain on-the-job experience.
  • In addition to being an excellent professional development opportunity, this program provides customized leadership training to motivated individuals who are wanting to grow with us.
Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Candidates from Oakmont will need to have a minimum of six months in their current position.
  • Prefer two (2) years experience as a Licensed Nurse; one (1) years experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
  • All candidates will need to have a California LVN or RN License in good standing.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the state during the training process and must be open to relocation for a permanent position.
  • Demonstrated interest in clinical leadership; prior experience coaching or mentoring peers preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a passion for serving older adults.
  • Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals.
  • Proficient in basic computer systems and ability to learn electronic health records and other Company tools.
  • Able to adapt and respond to change, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.Must be coachable, highly motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Able to obtain and maintain valid First Aid and CPR, as needed.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Health Screening tests.
