To accommodate our rapid growth, Five9 is seeking an experienced and motivated Channel Development Director to help expand our industry-leading partner ecosystem. This is a key position within our Sales organization and will report directly to our VP Channel Sales. This mission-driven team is responsible for opening new routes to market and helping partners build & sell customer experience offers at speed and scale.
Some of the major focus areas of this role are:
  • Manage the sale of Five9 products and services with a team of Channel Directors within a set of 15+ National & Global partners.
  • Drive business plans for those Global Partners that allows us to scale our services and develop a robust partner ecosystem for services across several disciplines.
  • Develop an enablement strategy to attract, develop, and maintain relationships with various Technology Solutions Brokers, or agents across that set of National and Global partners.
  • Drive global net new sales results and pipeline development within a team of Channel Directors that jointly manage key national (global) partners.
  • Drive partner enablement throughout the entire customer journey lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and expand critical relationships within the team of Channel Directors and our group of 15+ named partners that deliver a profitable business model for and enhance Five9's solutions and services capabilities.
  • Help expand the partner community within North America to accelerate growth by recruiting and gaining commitment from Consultants and Technology Advisors.
  • Develop, retain and own Five9's strategic relationships within a team of Channel Directors and partners that can scale our solution and increase value to customers.
  • Establish engagement models for ISV's and development partners – in conjunction with strategic partner offerings.
  • Develop, deliver and execute viable plan(s) which will represent Five9's interest in promoting partner corporations branding, as well as ensure Five9 is represented as the first and best option for contact center solutions.
  • Align closely with Five9 Sales to represent the interests of the assigned partners within Five9 to elevate our partner visibility internally and externally.
  • Develop Partner Training and Enablement programs and certification programs for key partners within a team of Channel Directors.
  • Structure and negotiate partnership agreements that lead to incremental value and capabilities for adding new National and Global partners.
Key Skills:
  • Proven experience working in a dynamic team focused on building exponential growth
  • 10+ years of experience in software sales, partner development, or business development within a cloud-based environment
  • Emphasis on software sales
  • A demonstrated ability to establish, maintain and grow business relationships successfully, with an emphasis on sales and partner processes
  • Strong operational and analytical skills
  • Ability to describe trends and provide insight from KPI's
  • Strong strategic thinking with a penchant for action and results
  • Excellent project management and creative problem solving skills
  • Exceptional communications skills, with a proven capability for public speaking, professional writing and active listening
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Travel required up to 75%
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with and knowledge of Contact Center solutions and/or VoIP
  • Experience with Technology Solutions Brokers, National Partners and/or Service Providers in cloud collaboration – CcaaS, UCaaS preferred
  • Experience managing partnerships with consulting firms or systems integrators for an enterprise SaaS software solution
  • Must have software/SaaS experience.

Work Location: This role is fully remote for candidates who reside outside the 30 mile radius of one of our offices.  For candidates who reside within a 30 mile radius of one of our offices, this role is Hybrid and would require 3 days a week (T, W, TH) in office.

Additionally, the total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.

The US base salary range for this role is below.
$105,700—$245,700 USD
