JSI invites you to join our team as a Telecom Regulatory Compliance Specialist on our Regulatory & Tax Compliance Operations Team in a remote capacity where you'll play a critical role in advancing broadband and telecommunications initiatives that expand connectivity and drive digital inclusion-while advancing your career within a mission-driven, growth-focused organization.
Position Overview:
As a Telecom Regulatory Compliance Specialist on the Regulatory & Tax Compliance Operations Team, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting regulatory compliance reports to federal and state agencies on behalf of telecommunications providers. Working closely with clients and regulatory agencies, you will ensure timely and accurate filings while applying expertise in telecommunications compliance, accounting principles, and utility regulation to support client success and ongoing regulatory adherence.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned telecommunications clients regarding regulatory reporting.
  • Coordinate with clients to gather necessary reporting information and ensure timely submissions.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to prepare and submit compliance filings to the FCC, PUCs, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of industry regulatory changes and apply updates to compliance processes.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Combination of education and a minimum of 1 year of office experience in one or more of the following areas: Accounting, Telecom Regulatory Compliance, Taxes, Telecommunications, Utility Regulation.
  • Strong math, logic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
  • Strong time management skills and comfort with meeting strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience preparing and filing telecommunications regulatory reports is ideal.
  • Finance, Accounting, or Business degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional experience with Excel is a plus.
