POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Support Specialist will be focused on learning and supporting Sugarbush's wide ranging IT technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience and certifications related to IT, a strong passion for technology, an ability to understand and learn tech quickly, and a desire to grow in specialized areas of IT such as Systems Administration, Network Administration or Cyber Security. We are dedicated to helping team members achieve their goals and advance their careers through training and mentoring. This position is full-time year-round with a salary range of $55,000-$60,000 per year depending on experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Providing support for our customers through direct interaction, answering calls, and responding to tickets.
  • Providing project support assistance through distributing, installing, and configuring IT related equipment.
  • Working with and providing support for peripherals, computers, RFID gates, Wi-Fi systems, network switches, and software support via calls and our ticketing for the resorts user's.
  • Working with and providing operations support of conference room AV tech, resort audio systems, webcams, security & operational cameras, network PA system, digital signage and accompanying media devices, projectors, video wall, TV's, TV streaming devices and cable boxes.
  • Working with IT management systems related to security, network, and systems monitoring.
  • Working with Azure, Intune, Exchange, SCCM, and Active Directory.
  • Working on infrastructure and cabling projects
  • Assisting in daily operations checks to ensure all systems are functioning properly.
  • Activating and de-activating user accounts.
  • Firmware and software updates on both AV and IT equipment.
  • Assisting in inventory management and systems documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A proven background supporting IT technologies in conjunction with a foundational understanding of network concepts, a minimum of 3 years experience, and preferably IT related certifications.
Desired IT experience:
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting IT related systems.
  • A foundational understanding of networking and WIFI technologies.
  • Understanding of the operation and configuration principles of computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Experience using Microsoft office and collaboration applications such as Teams.
  • Experience thinking through and solving technology issues.
  • A strong awareness of cyber security challenges and best practices.

  • During the winter season, we travel up the mountain to provide support. The ability to Ski or Snowboard is highly preferred.
  • This position may be required to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
  • We are a dog friendly company/office. Candidates should be comfortable with dogs.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
