Job Summary
The Supply Chain Director leads overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory management, vendor selection, and distribution of finished goods. This role develops and implements strategies to ensure efficient operations, strong performance against KPIs, and alignment with business objectives.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Directs end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, vendor selection, and distribution activities. 
• Develops and executes supply chain strategies to ensure alignment with business objectives and performance KPIs. 
• Establishes and manages policies, procedures, and operational standards for the supply chain sub-function. 
• Negotiates with vendors and suppliers to secure optimal pricing, contracts, and service terms. 
• Utilizes data analytics and performance monitoring tools to evaluate historical trends and forecast supply and demand requirements. 
• Oversees inventory planning and distribution strategies to ensure optimal stock levels and service performance. 
• Identifies and implements process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance supply chain performance. 
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, sales, and manufacturing to align supply chain priorities. 
• Ensures compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. 
• Monitors key supply chain metrics and provide regular reporting and insights to executive leadership. 
• Performs other duties as assigned. 
Required Skills/Abilities
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management, including procurement, inventory control, and distribution. 
• Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation. 
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills using data-driven decision-making. 
• Ability to develop and implement strategic supply chain plans. 
• Excellent problem-solving and process improvement capabilities. 
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. 
• Ability to manage budgets and drive cost efficiency. 
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or related field required. 
• Typically requires 5+ years of progressive managerial experience in supply chain or operations leadership roles. 
• Demonstrated experience managing a supply chain sub-function within a broader operational structure. 

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
• Ability to visit warehouses, distribution centers, or supplier sites as needed. 
• Occasional travel may be required to support business operations and vendor relationships.
