Position Summary:
The Strategic Operations Lead serves in an individual-contributor role that partners directly with the Director of Health Services Operations to advance strategy, performance, and regulatory readiness across Utilization Management (UM), Care Management (CM), and related Medical Management programs. This role drives strategic initiatives, operational excellence, regulatory readiness, business performance, and cross-functional execution to support organizational goals and regulatory requirements. This role influences departmental performance without direct supervisory responsibility. The role leads enterprise initiatives and ensures execution of department priorities through data-driven decision making, project leadership, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, public health, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years' progressive experience in managed care, health plan operations, utilization management, care management, quality, compliance, or strategic operations with three (3) years of progressive responsibility in leading cross-functional or enterprise operational initiatives without formal authority over the teams involved.

Preferred:
  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, public health or a related field.
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or equivalent certification.
  • Two (2) years' experience in Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, Commercial, or Dual-Eligible health plans
  • Two (2) years' experience with CMS, NCQA, and state regulatory requirements
  • Two (2) years' experience with population health, UM, or CM platforms.
  • Two (2) years' experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other healthcare analytics tools
