Your Role as a Registered Nurse (RN):

As a vital member of our health care team, you’ll provide top-notch patient care within your assigned department or unit. Working closely with clinical managers and other healthcare professionals, you’ll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, always ensuring the highest standards of safety and compassion.

The Interventional Radiology RN provides professional nursing support and service for providers and patients, functioning with a high degree of knowledge, skill and experience in interventional radiology that is applied to achieve optimal outcomes through critical analysis, problem solving and decision making. The primary role of the Interventional Radiology RN is to coordinate interventional procedures with radiologists, referring providers, nursing, and support staff in all phases of the referral process and performance of such procedures. Interventional services include those performed on admitted and ambulatory patients in both Cath Lab and Imaging Services.

  • Provide direct, compassionate patient care while adhering to Legacy Health’s high standards for patient assessment, care delivery, and transfer.
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care for every patient.
  • Advocate for patients by offering education and emotional support, helping them navigate their health journeys.
  • Leverage cutting-edge electronic health systems to accurately document patient information and provide seamless care.

What We’re Looking For:

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program as required by licensure.
  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is strongly preferred. If you’re working towards your BSN, we encourage you to apply!
  • For certain roles, a BSN is required. We also consider RNs without a BSN based on clinical experience and with approval from the Chief Nursing Officer.

Experience:

  • At least one year of nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program (or equivalent program).
  • Prior experience in Imaging, Cath Lab, or IR nursing preferred.

Skills & Qualities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize electronic health systems.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities — because in this role, every day is different, and your expertise will make all the difference.

  • Current RN License in Oregon and/or Washington.
  • ACLS through AHA.
  • BLS through AHA.
  • Specialty certification (ARIN) strongly preferred
