We are on a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Store Clerk.
This role has a mandatory Saturday shift every week and is responsible for stocking/inventory control, sales in person/phone/online, handling customer service issues, balancing and reconciling transactions in the store, helping with the growth of sales for the store, and increasing efficiency and workflow.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate a POS (Point of Sales) cash register system with accuracy in cash, bankcard, and invoice transactions.
  • Reconcile cash register at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Maintain knowledge and accuracy in all financial transactions, inventory transactions, polices, and procedures.
  • Arrange shipping of phone or web orders via Fedex or USPS.
  • Pack and ship orders, and ensure they are delivered on time.
  • Work with customers to sell and ship discontinued, defective and overstock merchandise.
  • Build a relationship with frequent buyers.
  • Merchandise and stock store shelves.
  • Handle customer service problems, both in person and on the phone.
  • Assist marketing team on special projects as needed.
  • Conduct an annual inventory reconciliation.
  • Understanding or ability to learn the Shopify POS.
  • Understanding or ability to learn Oracle.
  • Certified or willing to be certified in operating a forklift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
A suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Experience: 1 year experience in retail sales, cash register operation, general clerical work, accounting, and customer service.
  • English language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
  • Spanish Language skills: Able to read, speak and comprehend Spanish
  • Math skills: Needs to be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages in U.S. currency.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and transport up to 35 lbs. and stand at register for extended periods.
  • Work environment: 1/2 of the time in the store selling, 1/2 of the time maintaining inventorying or stocking the store.
  • Schedule: Able to be flexible with work hours to accommodate operations with mandatory Saturday shift.

To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:
  • 2 years in retail sales, cash register operation, clerical work, customer service, and phone order experience
  • 1 year experience with stocking, and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of Shopify Point of Sales system a plus.
  • Ability to make reasonable decisions.
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to follow instruction verbally and written.
  • Ability to use computer, cash registers and calculator.
  • Ability to build relationships with frequent buyers.
