Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator. The GSOC Operator is responsible for using security best practices to identify, analyze, and support all events and incidents that impact or potentially could impact Open Text operations, facilities, and employees. The GSOC Operator is responsible for monitoring multiple security network systems to coordinate responses to all safety and security incidents. In addition to monitoring security systems, the GSOC Operator is required to properly provide timely and accurate reports/information to Security Management of all life safety events, and guide and assist business clients during emergency and non-emergency events.

Full Time available at a Corporate site on Bloomfield CT

Thursday - Monday

11pm - 7am

$22/ hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Alarm Monitoring: Operators monitor all physical security equipment on a global basis to ensure the physical security of all employees, contingents, and office spaces
  • Access Management: Operators manage day to day access to all company facilities, ensuring compliance with customer, auditorial, and company policy
  • CCTV System: Operators manage the companies CCTV system and process video footage request
  • Provide access management to all company facilities
  • Conduct alarm monitoring for Open Text facilities
  • Manage all video footage requests in accordance with company policy
  • Manage all access report requests in accordance with company policy
  • Notify the appropriate personnel in an emergency
  • Notify, direct, and assist emergency personnel in the event of an emergency
  • Liaison between clients, other departments, and company leadership during an emergency
  • Directing visitors to the appropriate areas
  • Monitor and control removal of company and personal property
  • Report all building utility/ service issues as observed and instructed to facilities
  • Manage the day-to-day requirements for the Companies Anti-tailgating program
  • Evaluate and recommend improved procedural safety/security protocols or processes
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site
  • Work flexible schedules, including some nights

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Work experience must include of the following:
    • Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to expertly prepare reports
    • Ability to use logic and reasoning to reach conclusions and approaches to problems
    • Demonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (e.g., hardware, software, and networks)
    • Possession of highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
    • Ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionals
    • Demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors
    • Flexibility to work various shifts and willingness to assist the team when needed
    • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and work under pressure
  • Comfortable in an environment where there is an expectation for constant learning
