Job Description:

Job Summary
The Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Program Manager serves as a critical liaison between Sales, Demand Planning, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, ensuring customer opportunities are aligned with supply capabilities and operational planning processes. This role provides strategic guidance on product configurations, lead-time considerations, and demand readiness, enabling sales teams to effectively support customer requirements and drive business growth. The position plays a key role in translating sales opportunities into actionable demand plans while maintaining data accuracy and cross-functional alignment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of coordination between Sales, Demand Planning, Finance, and Supply Chain organizations.
  • Advise sales teams on optimal product configurations and fulfillment strategies based on capacity, lead times, and customer requirements.
  • Support opportunity planning across both strategic and emerging customer engagements, ensuring timely operational guidance.
  • Communicate opportunity updates and readiness status to Demand Planning teams to facilitate demand forecasting and execution.
  • Drive data integrity and process alignment between Salesforce (SFDC), quoting systems, and planning platforms.
  • Partner with opportunity owners to ensure quotes, forecasts, and opportunities are accurately synchronized.
  • Review and validate demand placement within planning systems, ensuring requirements are assigned to the appropriate manufacturing and supply locations.
  • Resolve planning and data discrepancies that could impact forecasting accuracy, supply commitments, or customer fulfillment.
  • Support bill of materials (BOM) management and opportunity readiness activities when system integrations or automated processes are incomplete.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and help strengthen the connection between sales execution and operational planning.

Education and Experience Required:

  • At least 3-- 5 years of work experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (Power BI Desktop, Power Query, Power BI Service).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (v/x lookups, macros, visualizations, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of research methodology for key business issues.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
  • Ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to analyze business problems using Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Very strong project management skills, including leading large, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
  • Developed leadership skills, including team-building, conflict resolution, and management.
  • Ability to identify emerging trends from market and industry data.
