Overview
WakeMed Physician Practices is a multi-specialty group with nearly 500 physicians in a variety of specialty areas. Our organization places a high value on quality, caring and compassionate physicians and we are committed to providing state-of-the-art health care to our patients and the community we serve.
We are currently seeking a board certified/board eligible general thoracic surgeon to join our established group in Raleigh, NC. With a new and growing medical oncology program along with a growing robotic interventional pulmonology program, we seek a surgeon to step in for a surgeon moving out of clinical practice. Our team provides services in our Raleigh based hospital as well as Cary location. We provide and seek a candidate that can provide minimally invasive and/or robotic surgery to encompass a breadth of general thoracic surgery conditions. The WakeMed Physician is responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients cared for by their division. The Physician may be responsible for providing teaching and supervision to residents, medical students and/or APP's within their division. The Physician is responsible for appropriate coding and corporate compliance and may be responsible for some general administrative responsibilities of the practice. Physician reports directly to the Director of their assigned division and understands and supports the mission values, and management of WakeMed Physician Practices and WakeMed.
