CAM/NC Programming Engineer – Digital Manufacturing

Direct Hire

Do you love turning complex parts into elegant toolpaths? Are you energized by reducing cycle times, lifting quality, and wiring automation into everyday production? If so, this role merges advanced CNC programming with manufacturing engineering to modernize how we make things—across NPI and continuous improvement.

In this position, you willEngineer production processes
  • Design and refine workflows, fixtures, and tooling for consistent, cost-effective output.
  • Define manufacturing methods and validation approaches for new product launches.
  • Champion CI to drive throughput and reduce waste.
Program and optimize CNC systems
  • Create, simulate, and tune CAM programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis equipment.
  • Debug at the machine—editing G-code/M-code and clearing obstacles quickly.
  • Collaborate with operators to improve machining tactics and maintain program libraries.
Advance automation
  • Implement robotics, PLCs, and vision to boost consistency and safety.
  • Assist with PLC logic and robotic path programming; integrate digital twins and connected tools.
  • Work cross-functionally to elevate automation maturity across the plant.
Support production and quality
  • Provide frontline technical help and conduct structured root-cause analysis.
  • Track performance via data; recommend targeted optimizations.
  • Build and sustain PFMEAs, control plans, and SOPs; participate in audits.
Lead projects
  • Run or support initiatives for equipment upgrades, line installs, and process improvements.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, supply chain, and engineering.
  • Manage scope, timing, budgets, and deliverables.
What you bringEducation & Experience
  • Bachelor’s in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
  • 3–7 years in manufacturing engineering and/or CNC programming.
  • Direct experience in machining, automation, or high-volume environments.
Core strengths

  • Comfortable working solo and in cross-functional squads at speed.
