Responsibilities of a Resident Care Director (RN) - Assisted Living:

  • Oversee resident care, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and state regulations
  • Assess changes in resident condition and coordinate appropriate care
  • Develop and update care plans; conduct care conferences with residents and families
  • Ensure accurate documentation, medication management, and physician order follow-up
  • Hire, schedule, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff
  • Provide staff training, orientation, and ongoing education
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment and ensure adherence to safety protocols
  • Manage nursing supplies and equipment to ensure proper availability and function

Qualifications for a Resident Care Director (RN) - Assisted Living:

  • RN graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
  • Hold a current Rhode Island RN License
  • Minimum of one year experience in a clinical hospital setting, assisted living, or skilled nursing facility.
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit and bend intermittently.
  • Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds and physically assist residents
