Newport Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. In this full-time, remote role, you will provide critical psychotherapy and mental health services to patients suffering from various mental health conditions. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while connecting with patients and professionals via telehealth platforms. As part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a balanced work-life integration.

• Provide psychotherapy to patients with mental health conditions, focusing on challenges such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD through evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Conduct thorough assessments to gauge patients' mental health status and functioning, enabling the development of tailored, culturally competent treatment plans.

• Collaborate regularly with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, exchange observations, and adjust treatment plans based on holistic patient evaluations.

• Monitor patient progress throughout treatment, adapting interventions as necessary to ensure responsiveness to evolving patient needs.

• Empower patients and their families through education on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources.

• Maintain strict adherence to ethical and professional standards, including confidentiality protocols and informed consent procedures.

As an LCSW at Newport Academy, you will work with a diverse population of adolescents and young adults dealing with various mental health issues. Some patients may be overcoming substance use challenges, while others require support navigating emotional and psychological hurdles. Your role will not only include direct patient care but also family engagement, enhancing the support network around each individual.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, with current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• A minimum of two years of experience providing psychotherapy and mental health services to diverse populations.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the building of strong relationships and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and creating evidence-based treatment plans.

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and healthcare software is essential for efficient management of patient information.

• A robust understanding of the challenges faced by patients with mental health issues, along with a commitment to ethical practice.

• Experience in a detox or inpatient setting is highly preferred.

• Certification or specialized training in trauma-informed care or specific therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT) is a plus.

• Previous involvement in developing community outreach programs or workshops addressing mental health education.
