Job description

The Director, Revenue Integrity leads revenue capture operations for Penn Highlands Healthcare and supports multi-health system acute and ambulatory operations through oversight of charge capture, regulatory billing alignment, and related revenue integrity functions. This role partners closely with revenue-generating departments and providers to develop, implement, and reinforce charging and reimbursement practices while serving as a key resource for guidance on CDM management. The Director also identifies opportunities to improve processes, quality, productivity, and service delivery across the revenue cycle. This position is responsible for personnel and resource management, quality assurance, and oversight of Revenue Integrity staff, including Revenue Integrity Manager, analysts, charge capture, charge auditing, and Charge Description Master functions across acute and ambulatory settings. The role ensures work is performed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with established policies, regulatory agencies, and payor requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, finance or related field, with 8 years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle experience; or an equivalent combination of education directly relevant experience. Advanced degrees in business, finance, healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • Required Experience/Skills Demonstrate knowledge of revenue integrity operations, CMS regulations, hospital and professional billing, medical records, service item processes, Charge description master functions.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence outcomes, guide teams, and support changes across the healthcare system.
  • Ability to develop long-range business plans, performance improvement strategies, and revenue integrity initiative that support organizational goals.
  • Preferred Experience/Skills 10 years of progressive revenue cycle or revenue integrity experience, experience leading process improvement, standardization, and performance monitoring initiatives across revenue cycle or revenue integrity functions.
  • Active CCS, CCS-P, HFMA, AAPC, AHIMA.
