Job description

FreeStar Financial Credit Union is looking for a dynamic Leader to guide our Branch Managers while building Credit Union business opportunity. If you are a strong leader with success in management, development, and generating business growth, this may be the right job for you!
Job Location: Macomb County
Days: Monday Thru Friday with Occasional Saturdays
Salary: ~$80,000/Annually
Benefits:
4 weeks PTO available in the first year

Position Purpose:
The primary purpose of a Retail Operations Director is providing strategic leadership for multiple branch locations with a primary focus on driving sales performance, membership growth, deposit acquisition, lending production, and business development. Through effective leadership, coaching, and community engagement, this role creates and executes growth strategies that expand the credit union's market presence while ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional member experience.
What You'll Do In This Role:
Develop, implement, and execute strategic sales initiatives that drive membership growth, deposit acquisition, consumer and business lending, product penetration, and overall branch profitability.
Establish sales objectives, monitor performance, and hold branch leadership accountable for achieving established goals and minimum performance expectations.
Participate in the development and execution of the credit union's long- and short-term strategic plans related to branch operations, sales, and business development.
Provide leadership, direction, and support for multiple branch locations while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement, and high performance.
Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing branch leadership teams.
Ensure assigned branches operate in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Prepare reports, presentations, business cases, and recommendations for executive leadership and the Board of Directors as requested.
What You'll Bring To FreeStar Financial as a Branch Director Candidate:
Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred or actively working toward completion.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the financial services industry.
Minimum of four (4) years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience within a financial institution, including responsibility for multiple teams or locations preferred.
Previous business development, professional networking, relationship management, and sales leadership experience required.
Advanced knowledge of branch operations, retail banking, financial institution operations, compliance, and risk management.
Demonstrated ability to develop strategic partnerships, cultivate business relationships, and identify growth opportunities within the community and marketplace.
Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team development skills with the ability to influence and motivate leaders across multiple branch locations.
