Job description

Overview

Please note this position is based in our Phoenix, AZ Support Office.  Own the business administration, evolution, and value realization of replenishment, inventory management, and demand planning systems. Serve as the primary business owner for platforms such as RELEX, driving alignment between business strategy, operational execution, and advanced analytics/AI capabilities to improve inventory productivity, service levels, and working capital outcomes.


Overview of Responsibilities

Replenishment & Inventory Systems Ownership

· Own business administration of replenishment and inventory systems (forecasting, ordering, allocation, inventory optimization).

· Serve as primary business owner for RELEX and related platforms, ensuring optimal configuration, utilization, and performance.

· Ensure system setups reflect business strategy, category nuances, and operational realities.

· Lead system governance, including user access, data integrity, and standardized processes.

Systems Strategy, Governance & Delivery

· Partner with IT and external vendors to prioritize enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver system improvements.

· Lead enterprise-wide initiatives including implementations, upgrades, and capability expansions.

· Act as the business lead on cross-functional projects spanning Supply Chain, Merchandising, Stores, IT, and Finance.

· Translate operational needs into system and technology solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

Advanced Analytics, AI & Automation

· Advance the organization’s use of AI and machine learning in replenishment and demand planning.

· Improve forecasting accuracy at store/UPC level through predictive and AI-driven models.

· Leverage analytics to improve inventory positioning, reduce waste, and optimize flow.

· Identify and enable automation and decision-support opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve speed to action.

· Ensure adoption of new capabilities through training, change management, and performance tracking.

Inventory & Supply Chain Performance

· Optimize forecasting and replenishment tools to drive accuracy, responsiveness, and resilience.

· Drive improvements across key metrics:

o In-stock / service levels

o Inventory turns

o Days of supply

o Shrink and waste (especially fresh)

· Identify opportunities to improve inventory productivity and reduce working capital through data-driven insights.

Reporting, Insights & Visibility

· Own and advance supply chain reporting using tools such as Power BI.

· Develop and maintain dashboards providing visibility to enterprise KPIs.

· Embed advanced analytics and AI-driven insights to enable proactive decision-making.

· Ensure standardized definitions, consistent reporting, and a single source of truth.

· Partner cross-functionally to expand data access and automate reporting.

Customer Service & Store Enablement

· Lead a Customer Service team supporting stores with DC-related issues (shorts, mispicks, delivery discrepancies).

· Establish service level expectations and ensure timely, effective resolution.

· Analyze root causes and partner with DC Operations to implement corrective actions.

· Use data and system insights to shift the function from reactive issue resolution to proactive problem prevention.

People Leadership & Capability Building

· Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team across systems administration and customer service functions.

· Build organizational capability in replenishment systems, analytics, and emerging AI tools.

· Set clear performance expectations, accountability, and development plans.

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.


Qualifications

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

· 8–12+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Replenishment, Inventory Management, or Demand Planning

· 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives

· Proven experience leading or supporting system implementations and transformation efforts

· Experience in retail, grocery, or fresh/perishable supply chains strongly preferred

Technical Expertise (Required)

· Relex (or similar advanced replenishment/forecasting platform) – deep functional and business ownership experience

· Power BI – strong experience building dashboards, reporting, and data visualization

· Experience working with or enabling AI/ML-driven forecasting and analytics solutions preferred

· Strong understanding of data structures, system integrations, and reporting frameworks
