Blockchain Engineer

About the Role

We are working with a client seeking a skilled Blockchain Engineer for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This is a fully remote position open to candidates across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy blockchain-based solutions and smart contracts
  • Build and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) across public and private blockchain networks
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate blockchain platforms and protocols for specific use cases
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to integrate blockchain solutions into existing systems
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of blockchain infrastructure
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to development best practices
  • Stay current on blockchain technology trends, protocols, and regulatory developments
  • Document architecture, code, and technical processes thoroughly

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in blockchain development
  • Proficiency with one or more blockchain platforms — Ethereum, Hyperledger, Solana, or similar
  • Strong experience writing and auditing smart contracts in Solidity or Rust
  • Familiarity with Web3 libraries and tools such as Web3.js, Ethers.js, or Hardhat
  • Solid understanding of cryptographic principles and consensus mechanisms
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and documentation habits

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Layer 2 solutions such as Polygon, Optimism, or Arbitrum
  • Familiarity with tokenization, DeFi protocols, or NFT standards
  • Experience with enterprise blockchain frameworks such as Hyperledger Fabric or R3 Corda
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance considerations in blockchain environments
  • Contributions to open-source blockchain projects

Compensation

$120,000 — $165,000 base salary depending on experience. Full benefits package available.
